Karol G, the Colombian super star which continues to cause quite a stir as one of the most prominent figures in Latin music, receives three nominations to the MTV Video Music Awards in the category of “Best Collaboration” with the song “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj, “Best Latin” once again with “Tusa” and in the same category with the song “China” from Anuel AA, featuring Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Karol G and J Balvin.

However, the success of “Tusa” doesn’t stop there. Aside from notching the nomination for Karol G in the VMA’s, it is currently the #1 latin song of 2020, and it received the Diamond certification by the RIAA and garnered 4 billion combined streams. The video surpasses 950 million views, becoming one of the most successful songs in Latin music, which will make it a cult-favorite engrained in the collective conscious of people around the world.

Moreover, after her recent high-profile collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, with whom she launched the song, “X,” Karol G surprised fans once more with her solo song, “Ay, DiOS Mío!
